The Importance of Rest In our Life

There are times during the day when you need to rest. Rest is a short period of relaxation that the body needs after a tiring activity. It relieves the body and the mind of the feeling of tiredness.

You get tired when you work hard because the oxygen and food that give energy to your body are being used up. Thus, your body needs to slow down so that it can regain the energy it lost. The amount of the time needed for you to rest depends on how much energy you spent on a particular activity. At school you are given a few minutes to rest during recess. A the office you are allowed for a coffee break. At home, you can rest simply sitting down or lying around. You can also watch television, listen to music, read a book or even sleep.

Sleep is an important form of rest. It prepares your body for the coming day. Your body also repairs itself when you are asleep. Lack of sleep can affect yous growth as well as your immune system which keeps you from getting sick

After a tiring day reward yourself with some rest and have time to sleep. Just make sure you balance your time for work and time to relax.

What Computer can Do to Us?

There are things that people are now able to do in our everyday living because of computers. Computers improve our way of life.

They are placed in the electronics designs of computerized appliances like alarm clocks, washing machines, microwave ovens and electric stove. Some of them operate home security systems, control temperature, and turn the television On and Off.

In schools, computers are used for computer aided instructions (CAI). Teachers can use computer programs that teach a particular lesson. Teachers may also add graphic, sound and animation, or live pictures to their lectures. Computers are often used to keep track of school records.

In selling business, computers check credit status ofcustomers. Computers can also transfer money electronically with the help f telephone lines. Department stores and supermarkets keep tracks of their sales and goods with the use of the bar codes and scanners.

Keeping your Computer Healthy

Keeping a computer healthy is possible. Computers should be kept and used in a room with just the right temperature and where air can freely circulate. They should be also kept clean. However these are not enough. Computers should also undergo periodic diagnostic test.

There are generally three ways to do this:

  1. checking the hard disk for errors;
  2. running the disk clean up program; and
  3. defragging the hard disk.

Checking the hard disk for errors allow the operating system to automatically fix system errors. It also scans for and attempts to recover bad sectors. Bad sectors are segments of disk storage that can’t be read or written to because of a physical problem in the disk.

Another way keeping your computer healthy is using the  operating system’s disk clean up facility. This allows you to free more disk space by removing optional programs that you do not use. It also frees the recycle bin of files that you have deleted.

Lastly, a typical computer user often saves and erases files on the hard disks. As this is done over time, fragmentation happens. It occurs when the operating system can not or will not allocate enough adjoining space to store a complete file, and instead puts parts of it in gaps between other files.

De fragmentation (or def ragging)  physically the contents of the disk in order to store the pieces of each file close together and in order. It also attempts to create large regions of free space to prevent the return of fragmentation. Defragmentation helps to restore a drive to its original speed.

Now as a user of our personal computer it is our responsibility to maintain the health of our personal computers. Being the user of this we are not the beneficiaries we are also the responsible for the maintenance of our computers.

Tooth Hurts

When a tooth starts to decay or break down, cavity develops. A cavity is a hole in a tooth that can grow bigger and deeper over time if not taken care of immediately.

Tooth decay can happen to all people but is more common in children who love to eat sweets. But the good news is it can be prevented. Tooth decays are caused by plaque-a sticky, slimy substance made up mostly of bacteria. When the teeth are often exposed to foods containing starches and sugars like soft drinks, candies, cakes, and even sticky fruits, plaque develops.

The bacteria in plaque reacts with food deposits on the teeth and produce acid which slowly dissolves the teeth’s outermost layer. If nothing is done, the cavity can reach the inside of the teeth where nerve endings are found. And ouch, it really hurts!

Tooth decay can be prevented by:

  • brushing the teeth with a fluoride toothpaste after eating or at least twice a day( don’t forget to brush the teeth before going to bed!)
  • flossing the teeth once a day
  • avoiding sweet and sugary foods and drinks; and
  • visiting a dentist twice a year for regular check ups.

As mother we don’t want our children to suffer toothaches it’s hard for a mother when her child gets sick. We can prevent them from toothache we can be the example showing them what they must eat and not eat and what to do after eating how to brush their teeth proper. With these things being done we can help our children suffer from toothaches.

Senses in you

Sniff your sense.Do you know that if your nose is at its best, you can tell the difference between 4000 to 10,000 smells. People who cannot smell have a condition called anosmia. As you get older, your sense of smell becomes weaker. Children are more likely to have a better sense of smell than parents or grandparents.

Sense and sensitivity. When somebody tickles you on a specific part of your body, you feel funny. This is because you are sensitive in that part of your body. Touch receptors found in the entire body helps you feel these sensations. The most sensitive parts of the body are the hands, lips, face, neck, tongue, fingertips and feet. The least sensitive part is the middle of the back.

Taste Buddy. We have almost 10,000 taste buds in out mouths-even on the roofs of the mouth. Despite these numbers, our sense of taste is the weakest of the five senses. In general, girls have more taste buds than boys.

Sightings of the giants squid have been reported. Some people have written about their encounters with this giant creature. However many people found it difficult to believe these tales. The numbers of the enemy of the giants squid is the sperm whale. The giant squid is very rarely seen because it lives in the deep, dark regions of the sea where there is very little or no light at all and low amount of oxygen.

Giants clams were once believed to kill or swallow people alive. In fact, they used to be called killer clams pr man eating clams. Many cartoon programs even show characters getting trapped inside these giant shells.

However, later studies have proven that giant clams are not really dangerous. Although one can really hold a person fast in its grip, the closing movement of its shells are too slow to be considered as a threat.

Giant clams are native to the coral reefs of the South Pacific and Indian oceans. They can weigh up to 180 kg and measure up to about 1.5 meters across. They feed on algae that live on their mantle.

What to do during Rainy Days?

Even summer is the season now, I still remember the things we used to do when it was rainy days. Some children don’t like rainy days because they can’t go outside and play. But I still believe that even I’m inside the house there’s a lot things to do other than watching television.

When I was in grade school when rainy season is on what I do inside the house is writing a poets. I like writing poets since my teacher in English taught us how to write poet on that day before I go to sleep I write at least one poet.

Writing poets make me show my moods and what’s inside my mind. Sometimes when I feel lonely I write a poets after writing a poet I almost forgot I’m lonely. When I’m bother even me mind is not settle I try writing something until I almost made a couple of paragraphs.

Now I don’t have much time writing poets, but I still write using my computer. I write something that i know and I have learned. Writing was a thing a do during rainy days and until now even it’s not rainy days as long as there is an electricity I write.
